Manchester City can clinch a fourth straight title, and their sixth in the past seven years, by beating West Ham at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon. But should the remarkable happen and they slip up, then Arsenal are just two points adrift and could be poised to take advantage by beating Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

It is a dream situation for a broadcaster, who have been denied drama at the other end of the table, with Burnley ’s relegation confirmed on the weekend and Luton as good as certain to follow them due to the huge goal difference swing needed to reel in Nottingham Forest. The full focus will be on City and Arsenal for the 4pm kick-offs, with the Champions League places also sewn up following City’s 2-0 win over Tottenham on Tuesday night.
City’s likely coronation against West Ham will be shown live on Sky Sports, while TNT Sports are broadcasting Arsenal vs Everton. With two outcomes still possible, the Premier League has organised to have two identical trophies on hand in Manchester and north London – and there a similar compromise has been concocted by the broadcasters.

However, Mirror Football understands that there is a reciprocal agreement in place which means that TNT Sports will also be able to show City lifting the trophy following their broadcast of the Arsenal game. Similarly, if the unthinkable does happen and City throw it away on the final day, Sky will be able to cut to the Emirates for Arsenal’s glorious moment which has been 20 years in the making.
Interestingly, the Premier League are sending chief executive Richard Masters to Arsenal’s game, with chair Alison Brittain in position at City. That is likely to be because Masters doesn’t want to be the one to present City with the trophy having been the spokesperson tasked with talking about the 115 charges surrounding them.
