Prince Harry was reportedly ‘in tears’ following King Charles‘ brutal new announcement.

Among the most controversial royal family members are the Duke of Sussex, 39, and his wife, Meghan Markle, 42, who stepped in as seniors and quit.

Since stepping back from official duties, Harry and Markle have used their platform to participate in many public service activities.

Yet their relationship with the royals remains strained to this day.

Most recently, the family was criticized for ‘disrespecting’ Prince Harry and Markle’s son Archie on his fifth birthday.

Now the Duke was reported to be ‘in tears’ after a fight with his Father.

Prince Harry ‘In Tears’ As King Charles Makes Brutal New Announcement It isn’t just Prince Harry’s relationship with King Charles under scrutiny.

And his relationship with his older brother, Prince William, 41, has been scrutinized – the two were said to have drifted apart following Prince Harry and Markle’s decision to step back from royal life.

Their mother, Princess Diana, died in a car crash in 1997, aged just 36. They’d been just 15 and 12.

‘Their relationship is very intimate,’ Andrew Morton, who wrote the late princess’s biography, told Royals Monthly in 2019. ‘

But then, days after the publication of Spare, a source told Us Weekly that Prince William ‘doesn’t even know who his brother is anymore’.

‘He wants to believe that at the end of the war peace will be possible,’ the insider told me, ‘but it’s difficult.’

At their father’s coronation in May 2023, the brothers seemed to keep their distance – and since then, their relationship might well have become more fraught.

And it’s all because of their father, King Charles.

Prince Harry’s recent visit to the UK has made headlines.

The Duke’s press spokesman, meanwhile, told the BBC that he does not plan to meet his father, because the King ‘has a full programme’.

Yet it has also been reported that he has declined King Charles’ offer of a royal home on his visit.

It comes during the announcement of King Charles’ coronation and pundits are already wondering if it’s a coincidence.

Royal scribe and commentator Tom Quinn tells the Mirror that the 75-year-old might have said as much as he did ‘to send a very public signal to his youngest son to make it clear that he is permanently estranged from the royal family’.

He says the younger prince was ‘crying when he heard’, adding: ‘It just makes it all the worse because the position is going to the same man that Harry thinks is the cause of so many of his problems – his brother.

‘And to make it effective, it was done while Harry was in the UK for the briefest of visits. It was a public rejection, and he was put in his place.’

King Charles has made Prince William Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, a position some thought would go to Harry instead.

The ruling seems to underline the divide in the family, especially since Harry served with the corps in Afghanistan, which he described as ‘the best time in my life… I felt normal. I wasn’t The Prince. My rank was the same as everyone else’s’.

The royal commentator Pandora Forsyth defended the appointment choice to Sky News, saying that the Prince of Wales was ‘the right fit’ for the role.

‘Prince Harry knew that when he stood down as a working member of the royal family, he was having to give up the honorary military titles.’

You can’t say ‘I can’t do it’.

So unfortunately this is what life’s like for Harry now. And it fucking sucks and of course it’s going to hit home because it is very personal.

Prince Harry described Prince William in his tell-all memoir as his ‘loyal brother and lifelong rival’ – and apparently never more so than now.
